Donna DeLuca is the interim director for the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) at the University of Oklahoma. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in Montessori education from the Montessori World Educational Institute, Cambria, California. She is currently completing a master’s in international business administration.
Prior to coming to OU, DeLuca served as the director of the Pioneer Library system’s McClain county Literacy/ESL program, partnering with the Library of Congress to develop countywide classes for residents needing literacy or English as a second language services. She has been the assistant director at CESL since 2008 and a core instructor at the center for 12 years, teaching academic skills, structure, communication and seminar classes, developing curriculum, with attendance and presentation at regional and national TESOL conferences.
DeLuca has also been an instructor for the English Assessment Program (EAP) on the main OU campus for the last five years, preparing international teaching assistants for the Speak and Teach tests.
CESL offers an intensive English program for students who wish to improve their English quickly and thoroughly. CESL classes serve both beginning and advanced levels of English language skills.
