Dr. Trent Gabert serves
as associate dean of the College of Liberal Studies
(CLS); administrator for the Brock International
Prize in Education; professor of sport management;
and adjunct professor for the Department of Human
Relations. He received his doctorate in human growth
and development from the University of Wisconsin,
where he also received bachelor's and master's
degrees.
Dr. Gabert began his career at the University of Oklahoma in 1970 and served 30 years as
professor, including 14 years as chair of the Department
of Health and Sport Sciences. In 2000, he became
associate dean of the College of Liberal Studies,
an autonomous distance education college serving
non-traditional, working and adult students from
around the world.
In 2003, the College of Liberal Studies became the first college at OU to offer
entire bachelor's and master's degrees online.
Dr. Gabert's teaching and research interests
are in education administration, leadership in
organizations, human resource development and sport
finance.
