Heather Reichert is the contract manager for the U.S. Postal Service Center for Employee Development where she manages the $27 million contract between the center and the University of Oklahoma Outreach. The contract contains three, one-year possible extensions and if exercised totals $65 million for five years. Through the contract, Outreach provides instructors and support personnel to the center, which trains approximately 60,000 postal technicians each year. Reichert serves as liaison between the two parties, interprets the contract, manages contract employee concerns regarding benefits and payroll, and participates and ensures accuracy in employment and termination procedures.
Prior to her current position, she served as a training manager, sales manager and project manager for Sprint in Oklahoma City. Reichert earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from OU and a master’s degree in accounting and information systems from New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, N.Y. She has also obtained American Society of Training and Development and Oklahoma Quality Award Examiner certifications.
Reichert is from Oklahoma City and currently lives in Norman with her family.
