Ph.D., Regional and City Planning, Ohio State University
Guoqiang Shen is the co-director of the China Outreach Institute at the University of Oklahoma Outreach. He directs the Institute's educational, travel, and grant programs between OU Outreach and Chinese partners. The institute also supports and enhances current Chinese business partnerships with OU Outreach through training and development. Additionally, Shen is a tenured professor and the director of Regional and City Planning, a division in the College of Architecture at OU. During the past three years, his popular Study Abroad in China travel course, administered by the OU Outreach CAFÉ Academic programs, has attracted more than 200 OU students and alumni to China. Prior to becoming a Sooner, Shen was a faculty member at East Carolina University in North Carolina. He also taught two years in Beijing Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from Ohio State University, M.S. from Beijing University and a B.Arch. from Tsinghua University.
