Elizabeth Sieg joined the staff of the University of Oklahoma Outreach as director of marketing and communication in November 2008. She received a bachelor’s degree in advertising and business from the University of Florida. Sieg brings to OU an extensive background in corporate communications, strategic marketing, international advertising, program and event management and customer, media and public relations.
Her industry experience includes working with international advertising agencies, marketing and brand leaders, nonprofit organizations, the federal government and federal prime contractors. Before joining Outreach Sieg served as manager of customer relations and events for the Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology organization serving government and commercial markets in more than 150 countries.
Previous to that, she was employed as the international communications manager for BBDO Worldwide, an international advertising agency, which has been named the "most awarded agency network in the world" for an unprecedented third year in a row. At BBDO she worked on a major post-9/11 campaign with New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s office and was involved in strategic marketing and public relations activities with M&M/Mars Inc., Bayer AG, and other major corporate clients. Sieg also served as an account executive for Young and Rubicam, the world’s largest advertising agency, where she worked with international clients such as Kraft Foods Inc. and Colgate-Palmolive.
