Our History
The University of Oklahoma has a long history of supporting education systems through technical assistance, professional learning, and capacity-building partnerships.
From 1995 to 2019, OU hosted Comprehensive Centers under cooperative agreements with the U.S. Department of Education, including Region VII, Mid-Continent, Central, and South Central Comprehensive Centers. These centers provided technical assistance to help state education agencies, intermediary agencies, and education systems implement, support, scale up, and sustain reform efforts to improve teaching and learning.
Today, EDUTAS continues that commitment through customized technical assistance, leadership development, professional learning, and school improvement support for educators, schools, districts, and education organizations.
