Our Values

  • Systemic Change: Guiding complex systems change processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Evidence-Based Instruction: Improving instructional practices by utilizing proven, research-based learning models.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Developing the skills of educators and administrators to build collective teacher efficacy and enhance student outcomes.
  • Equal Opportunity: Driving equity across education systems through inclusive, high-quality learning environments.

Our History

The University of Oklahoma has a long history of supporting education systems through technical assistance, professional learning, and capacity-building partnerships.

From 1995 to 2019, OU hosted Comprehensive Centers under cooperative agreements with the U.S. Department of Education, including Region VII, Mid-Continent, Central, and South Central Comprehensive Centers. These centers provided technical assistance to help state education agencies, intermediary agencies, and education systems implement, support, scale up, and sustain reform efforts to improve teaching and learning.

Today, EDUTAS continues that commitment through customized technical assistance, leadership development, professional learning, and school improvement support for educators, schools, districts, and education organizations.

The Central Comprehensive Center was directed by Dr. Donna Richardson and the South Central Comprehensive Center was directed by Dr. Belinda Biscoe.
