Improving Independent Living, Employment, and Career Opportunities

Through our model programs, the National Center for Disability Education and Training (NCDET) proves that youth and adults with disabilities can be successfully employed. NCDET developes and delivers customized  training programs for professionals in related disability fields. Training programs for professionals in related disability fields.

Through funding from the Social Security Administration, NCDET staff delivers training and services to beneficiaries with disabilities across the state. NCDET has developed many training tools to improve the skills of management and frontline staff providing employment support to individuals with disabilities.

Through innovative training, direct service, and cutting-edge research, NCDET advances independent living, employment, and career opportunities for people with disabilities, while improving their lives and the communities in which they live.

NCDET PROGRAMS

The center delivers a variety of programs to advance the employment and independent living of individuals with disabilities.

NCDET TRAINING FOR DRS

Specialized trainings for agencies contracting with the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services. 

WORK INCENTIVES PLANNING AND ASSISTANCE PROJECT

Providing direct work incentives planning and assistance services to SSI and/or SSDI beneficiaries across the state of Oklahoma. 

PRE-ETS TRAINING

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) are a coordinated set of work-based learning activities for students with disabilities who are eligible or potentially eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

PROJECT SEARCH

A collaborative model that meets employer’s needs while offering employment and education opportunities for High School Seniors or Post-secondary Technology Center students with disabilities.
