Number Recognition
The ELQA Number Recognition assessments measure the child’s ability to recognize and name written numerals. This assessment is divided into two separate assessments:
- Number Recognition 0-10
- Number Recognition 11-20
Verbal Counting
The Verbal Counting assessment consists of one item and measures the child’s ability to count aloud in sequence to 100.
Numbers and Operations
The Numbers and Operations assessment consists of 15 items and measures the child's understanding of counting, how to represent numbers, number estimation, and operations.
Displaying and Analyzing Data
The Displaying and Analyzing Data assessment consists of 10 items and measures the child's ability to identify and compare measurable attributes of objects and interpret simple graphs and charts.
Geometry
The Geometry assessment consists of 10 items and measures the child's ability to sort objects into sets by one or more attributes and identify common two- and three-dimensional shapes and their properties.
Algebraic Thinking
The Algebraic Thinking assessment consists of 10 items and measures the child's ability to sort, recognize, duplicate, complete, and extend patterns using a variety of measurable attributes.
Measurement and Data
The Measurement and Data assessment consists of 10 items and measures the child's understanding of simple time concepts, including time of day, basic units of money, and skills in comparing and ordering objects according to quantitative attributes and spatial position.
