INSTRUCTION FOR COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS
Enhancing the college and career readiness of American students requires improvement of the instructional process. High quality instructional programs provide:
- rigorous expectations for all students through aligned standards and comprehensive assessment systems,
- processes to monitor student growth and mastery of content
- high quality early learning approaches aligned to K-12 expectations
- expanded learning opportunities throughout all stages of education
- rigorous programs of study, including college preparatory, career, and technical education
- aligned resources, structures, and learning supports for students
The Central and South Central Comprehensive Centers' (C3/SC3) Formative Assessment Bi-Regional Advisory Board, in partnership with the Center on Standards and Assessment Implementation (CSAI), presented a series of four webinars Setting the Stage for Formative Assessment.
On August 8, 2018, C3 and SC3 hosted the sixth annual Regional Advisory Board Meeting in an online format! The theme, Equitable Choices + Empowered Voices = Student Success, allowed RAB members to focus on what states, districts, and schools are and should be doing to promote student success for the unique and diverse students of each state.
SC3 and C3 provided a webinar on College and Career Readiness Data.

C3 and SC3 support Oklahoma, Colorado and Kansas teams in the State Work-Based Learning Initiative!
The Central and South Central Comprehensive Centers (C3/SC3) at the University of Oklahoma (OU) and the Center on Standards and Assessment Implementation (CSAI) held the Formative Assessment Bi-regional Advisory Board (FAB-RAB) Leadership Summit on March 12-13, 2018.
The Central and South Central Comprehensive Centers support seven state departments of education with formative assessment resources.
Oklahoma Legislature approved new Oklahoma Academic Standards for English language arts and Mathematics on March 21, 2016.

Missouri DESE OCCR Professional Learning Day on October 28, 2013, and CTE Curriculum Development Work Day on October 29, 2013, will be held in Jefferson City, Missouri.
C3 supported KSDE during the SEA Teams Work-based Learning Workshop held on April 26-28, 2017.
