Building Momentum: Webinars, Micro-Credentials, and Convenings
Published: Friday, February 27, 2026
The Southwest Center for Human Relation Studies launched 2026 with major momentum and a slate of experiences built for professionals who want practical tools, timely knowledge, and real connection. From the Lunch & Learn: Practice in Focus webinar series to contemporary trauma-informed approaches in substance use treatment, plus micro-credentials and regional convenings through Higher Ed Hive, the first half of the year offers multiple ways to learn, grow, and lead.
In January, we opened the year hosting the Lunch & Learn: Practice in Focus Webinar Series (January 26–29), offering short, high-impact sessions designed to deliver applied strategies and practice-relevant insights participants could use immediately.
March features Managing Civil Discourse: Micro-Credential Series – Spring 2026 (every Tuesday at 2-4 PM CT from March 31– April 28, 2026), equipping participants with tools to navigate high-stakes conversations, respond skillfully to conflict, and strengthen communication and learning environments, with a digital credential awarded upon completion.
Looking ahead, three major convenings on the horizon: the HOPE in Higher Ed Conference (April 8-9, 2026), the Higher Ed Hive: Pacific Northwest Summit (May 7–8, 2026), and the Higher Ed Hive: Midwest Conference (May 27-28, 2026).
